Thanks to all the fundraising support which local people, businesses, residents’ associations and sports clubs in the park have provided, the improvements to the terrace area outside the cafe will begin in March and should be ready for Easter.  Friends of WP raised just over £10,000, including a donation from CWaC, which will enable us to transform the space with attractive planting beds, tables, seating, lighting and surfacing.  Phase 2 will commence once further funds have been secured.  Donations can be made direct to FoWP or at the cafe.
